Meditation is a form of worship
November 4, 2008
Meditation is a form of worship, like singing. It is a tool we use to get into His presence. Not everyone can be transported to ‘God’s feet’ as it were, through praise songs, some like to journey there gently and quietly. The great thing is, because of our uniqueness, there are many ways to arrive at the foot of God to worship Him and bask in His glorious light and love.
The meditation we practice as Christians does not allow for emptying of the mind, aside from being virtually impossible for the average person to do it just doesn’t make sense why you would need or want to. We are not made to be empty, we are created to be full of all good things, look at Psalm 23 and all the good things God does and is for us - why wouldn’t our cups be full!
Enjoy your meditation experience and practice it whenever you have the chance. In the stillness and quiet created within you, you can draw close to God and hear all He wants to say to you.
